The Blessing of One-Leaf Guan Yin
The Imperial Harvest Fine Jadeite Dragon and Phoenix Leaf Pendant is a carved jadeite pendant by Grand Master David Goh, inspired by One-Leaf Guan Yin (一叶观音). A jadeite leaf encircled by the Dragon and Phoenix is designed to support authority, career success and influential benefactors. It is available in five elemental colourways, prescribed through a complimentary Bazi consultation in Singapore.

The Imperial Harvest Fine Jadeite Dragon and Phoenix Leaf Pendant is a carved jadeite artefact created by Grand Master David Goh, inspired by One-Leaf Guan Yin (一叶观音), one of the Thirty-Three Manifestations of Guan Yin (三十三观音). A single jadeite leaf, encircled by the Dragon and the Phoenix, is carved to support the wearer’s power and authority, the fulfilment of their wishes, career success and success in every undertaking, along with the support of powerful and influential benefactors, crowned by the blessing of wealth and honour in full bloom (花开富贵).
Who Is One-Leaf Guan Yin (一叶观音)?

Among the Thirty-Three Manifestations of Guan Yin, One-Leaf Guan Yin is the one who crosses the waters. She is depicted standing serenely upon a single leaf as it drifts across open water, unmoved by the current beneath her.
This manifestation draws from the Universal Gate Chapter (普门品) of the Lotus Sutra (法华经), which teaches that whoever is swept away by great floods and calls upon Guan Yin’s name will be brought to shallow ground (若为大水所漂,称其名号,即得浅处).
The teaching is in the image itself. She does not fight the water, and she does not need a vessel. One leaf is enough. Those under her blessing are carried safely through turbulent conditions, through difficult transitions and through the uncertain stretch between where they stand and where they intend to arrive.
One-Leaf Guan Yin is also one of the thirty-three manifestations carved on The Imperial Harvest Tongan Sandalwood Thirty-Three Guan Yin Ceremonial Anchor, the family heirloom before which Grand Master David Goh performs much of Imperial Harvest’s consecration work. On the anchor, she bestows the Blessing of Safe Passage.
From One Leaf to Golden Branches and Jade Leaves (金枝玉叶)
In classical Chinese, golden branches and jade leaves (金枝玉叶) describes those born of imperial lineage: the princes and princesses of the court, a family of the highest standing.
Grand Master David Goh brings these two images together in a single carving. The leaf that carries Guan Yin across the waters is rendered here in fine jadeite, and a leaf of jade is, quite literally, a jade leaf (玉叶).
The meaning follows the same order. One-Leaf Guan Yin first carries the wearer safely through. The jade leaf then places them among the honoured, with the standing of one who belongs to the golden branch.
Why Grand Master David Goh Created This Pendant
Grand Master David Goh created this pendant for clients who are ready to rise, and who want their rise to hold.
Its first intention is power and authority (权威): the standing to lead, to decide and to be heeded. Its second is the fulfilment of wishes (心想事成), so that what is set in motion arrives at its intended outcome. Its third is career success (事业有成): advancement, recognition and achievement that build steadily over the years. Its fourth is success in everything one does (万事如意), across business and family alike.
Through the Dragon and Phoenix, the pendant is also designed to draw powerful and influential benefactors (贵人) to the wearer, the people whose support turns ambition into achievement.
Above all of these sits the blessing of wealth and honour in full bloom (花开富贵). The leaf is what nourishes the flower. Where the leaf is healthy, the blossom follows, and with it prosperity, success and good fortune.
The Design
Meticulous Carving, Front and Back

The pendant is carved in fine detail on both sides, so its blessing is complete from every angle. Most pendants are designed to be seen from the front alone. This one carries its symbolism through to the reverse, where the leaf, the Dragon and the Phoenix continue uninterrupted.
Openwork piercings run along the edges, letting light pass through the jadeite and giving the Dragon and Phoenix their depth. The scales, feathers and veins are each cut by hand, a level of detail that takes time and a steady master carver to achieve in a stone as hard as fine jadeite.
The Leaf (玉叶)

A single leaf forms the body of the pendant. On the front, its broad surface frames the Imperial Harvest Emblem at its centre. On the reverse, the central vein and branching veins are carved in full, running from stem to tip like the lines of growth in a living leaf.
The leaf holds two blessings in one form. It is the leaf of One-Leaf Guan Yin, the vessel that carries the wearer safely through turbulent waters. It is also the jade leaf of the imperial lineage (金枝玉叶), the mark of elevated standing. Its veins carry a third meaning: just as a leaf draws nourishment to the flower, the wearer’s efforts are channelled towards the blossoming of wealth and honour (花开富贵).
The Dragon (龙): Power and Authority

The Dragon coils along one edge of the leaf, its scales carved individually and its body rising towards the top of the pendant. Its head is turned upwards, alert and watchful, with its claws gripping the edge of the leaf as though guarding it.
In Imperial Feng Shui, the Dragon is the emblem of the emperor and represents power and authority. This is command over one’s own affairs: the confidence to make decisions, the presence to lead and the respect of those who look to you. For those stepping into senior roles or building a business of their own, the Dragon supports the authority that such positions demand.
The Phoenix (凤): Influence

The Phoenix rises along the opposite edge, its long plumage flowing down the length of the leaf in graceful, sweeping lines. Its head is lifted towards the Dragon, so that the two face each other across the leaf.
Where the Dragon commands, the Phoenix draws people in. It represents influence: the ability to be heard, to be supported by the right people and to have one’s reputation travel ahead of one’s name. Influence opens doors that authority alone cannot. It is associated with drawing benefactors, partners and opportunities to the wearer, often before they have asked.
Dragon and Phoenix in Harmony (龙凤呈祥)

Together, the Dragon and Phoenix surround the leaf on both sides, a composition known as the Dragon and Phoenix bringing auspiciousness (龙凤呈祥). It is one of the most enduring auspicious pairings in Chinese tradition, long associated with the emperor and empress.
The pairing is deliberate. Authority without influence stands alone, and influence without authority cannot act. With both in place, the wearer has the standing to decide and the support to see those decisions through. Encircling the leaf together, the Dragon and Phoenix protect what it holds and carry its blessing forward.
The pairing also governs the people who enter the wearer’s life. The Dragon draws benefactors of power, those with the seniority and resources to open the way. The Phoenix draws benefactors of influence, those whose word carries weight and whose recommendation is trusted. Together, they are designed to draw powerful and influential benefactors (贵人) to the wearer’s side at the moments that matter most.
The Imperial Harvest Emblem

At the heart of the leaf on the front of the pendant sits the Imperial Harvest Emblem. Placed at the centre, it anchors the entire composition, with the leaf, the Dragon and the Phoenix all arranged around it.
The Emblem marks the pendant as an authentic Imperial Harvest artefact, designed and consecrated by Grand Master David Goh. It is a seal of origin and intention, distinguishing a Feng Shui treasure prescribed with purpose from an ornamental carving.
Fine Jadeite: Major Yin (太阴) Across Five Elemental Colourways
The pendant is carved from fine jadeite, selected for its clarity and vitality. As a carved jadeite pendant, it channels the Major Yin (太阴): the force behind the conditions you do not generate, only receive. It governs whether doors open when you are ready, whether the right people appear at the right moment and whether circumstance cooperates with you or resists you.
This is why the Major Yin suits One-Leaf Guan Yin so well. She does not swim across the water. The water carries her. The Major Yin works in the same way, so that the conditions around the wearer may move with them rather than against them.
The Imperial Harvest Fine Jadeite Dragon and Phoenix Leaf Pendant is available in five elemental colourways:
- Lavender (Fire)
- Green (Wood)
- Black (Water)
- White (Metal)
- Yellow (Earth)
The colour is not decorative. It is the second layer of Grand Master David Goh’s prescription, determining which element strengthens the wearer’s chart to receive the pendant’s blessing most effectively. The correct colourway is identified during a complimentary Bazi consultation, not self-selected.
Consecrated by Grand Master David Goh

Every Fine Jadeite Dragon and Phoenix Leaf Pendant is consecrated by Grand Master David Goh before it reaches its wearer. Consecration is what transforms a fine carving into a Feng Shui treasure, so that the safe passage of One-Leaf Guan Yin, the authority of the Dragon and the influence of the Phoenix are carried within the jadeite rather than simply depicted on it.
Who Should Wear the Dragon and Phoenix Leaf Pendant?
The Fine Jadeite Dragon and Phoenix Leaf Pendant is suited to leaders, business owners and professionals stepping into greater responsibility, and to anyone navigating a period of change who wishes to arrive on the other side with their standing elevated.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is One-Leaf Guan Yin (一叶观音)?
One-Leaf Guan Yin is one of the Thirty-Three Manifestations of Guan Yin. She is depicted standing on a single leaf as it drifts across open water. The form draws on the Universal Gate Chapter of the Lotus Sutra, which teaches that those swept away by floods who call her name are brought to shallow ground.
What do the Dragon and Phoenix symbolise on a jadeite pendant?
In Imperial Feng Shui, the Dragon represents power and authority, while the Phoenix represents influence. Paired together, they form the auspicious composition known as Dragon and Phoenix bringing auspiciousness (龙凤呈祥). On this pendant, they encircle a jadeite leaf and are associated with drawing powerful and influential benefactors (贵人) to the wearer.
What does 金枝玉叶 mean?
Golden branches and jade leaves (金枝玉叶) is a classical Chinese expression for those born of imperial lineage, such as the princes and princesses of the court. Because a jadeite leaf is literally a jade leaf (玉叶), Grand Master David Goh uses the expression to link One-Leaf Guan Yin with elevated standing.
What colours is the Dragon and Phoenix Leaf Pendant available in?
The pendant is available in five elemental colourways: Lavender (Fire), Green (Wood), Black (Water), White (Metal) and Yellow (Earth). Each colour corresponds to one of the Five Elements. How do I choose the right colourway?
The correct colourway is identified by an Imperial Harvest consultant during a complimentary Bazi consultation, based on the wearer’s date and time of birth. The consultation determines which element strengthens the wearer’s chart, so the pendant is prescribed with purpose rather than self-selected for its appearance or for personal taste.
