Introduction
As part of the 雙龍出海觀音賜福開光祈福大典, Grand Master David Goh personally hand-draws eighteen bespoke talismans — nine invoking the blessings of Guan Yin, and nine invoking the blessings of the Double Dragon. Together, the eighteen talismans form the consecration’s energetic core.
This article presents the nine Guan Yin talismans: their inscriptions, their names, and the blessings Grand Master David invokes through each one.
Why Nine
Nine (九) is the supreme Yang number in Chinese numerology — the highest single digit, representing the fullness of celestial energy. The nine Guan Yin talismans form one complete cycle of this supreme number. Paired with nine Dragon talismans, they create two complete cycles of nine — eighteen in total — doubling the consecration’s potency at its deepest structural level.
Why 出生日
These talismans are consecrated on Guan Yin’s 出生日 (Birth Day) — 6th April 2026, the 19th day of the 2nd lunar month. Of her three annual celebrations, the 出生日 carries the energy of emergence: the moment compassion took form and entered the world. Talismans consecrated on this date do not merely carry Guan Yin’s blessing. They carry the energy of her first breath — compassion in its most potent, most generative form.
The Structure of Each Talisman
Every talisman Grand Master David draws follows a precise structural architecture, rendered in gold ink on Imperial Harvest’s signature purple:
The Invocation Header (奉): The respectful invocation that names the celestial authority under whose mandate the talisman operates.
The Bagua Seal (八卦): The Eight Trigrams, representing the eight fundamental energies of the universe, creating a comprehensive energetic field through which the talisman’s instructions flow.
The Hulu Vessel Form (葫蘆): The gourd-shaped channel that draws the talisman’s celestial instructions downward — from the heavenly invocation at the top, through the Bagua field, into the concentrated blessing below. The hulu’s form is functional: it absorbs, contains, and directs.
The Authority Seal (罡): The circular seal at the base that locks the talisman’s energetic instructions in place, preventing dissipation and ensuring sustained effect. The 罡 character represents the celestial stars of the Big Dipper (天罡), anchoring the talisman to the highest celestial authority.

The Progression
The nine Guan Yin talismans follow a deliberate progression that mirrors both the Four Quadrants of Destiny and the architecture of the Grand Blessing Ritual itself:
Talismans 1–3: Wealth — Direct and Indirect Wealth Capacity. Establishing the rhythm of daily wealth, mobilising the Yang forces of the Five Directional Wealth Gods, and commanding the Yin forces to deliver treasures from the unseen realm.
Talismans 4–5: Luck and Benefactors — Environmental cooperation. Ensuring that Guan Yin’s personal attendants serve the destined owner, and that noble benefactors enter their sphere.
Talismans 6–7: Authority and Protection — Clearing obstacles, establishing spiritual authority, and shielding the physical body from harm.
Talismans 8–9: Intuition and Spiritual Wholeness — Settling the soul, stabilising the spirit, and invoking Guan Yin’s infinite compassionate power for those moments when all other forces are insufficient.
Talisman 1 — 觀音賜財·日進交易大吉符
Inscription: 奉觀音佛祖 · 日日有財 · 交易大吉
Reading the Inscription
奉觀音佛祖 — Respectfully invoking Guan Yin, the Ancestral Buddha. This is the invocation header — it names the celestial authority under whose sanction this talisman operates. Every blessing that follows flows from Guan Yin’s direct mandate.
日日有財 — Day by day, wealth arrives. Not a one-time windfall. Not a seasonal spike. Daily, consistent, reliable inflow. The character 有 (to possess) is significant — it does not wish for wealth. It declares its presence. Each day, wealth is there.
交易大吉 — All transactions greatly auspicious. 交易 specifically means transactions, exchanges, deals — every instance where value changes hands. 大吉 is the highest level of auspiciousness. This is not “may your deals go well.” It is a celestial decree that every exchange the destined owner enters is governed by supreme favour.
The Blessing
Under the direct authority of Guan Yin, this talisman consecrates the destined owner’s daily wealth flow and the auspiciousness of every transaction they enter.
Where most blessings address wealth as an outcome, this talisman addresses wealth as a rhythm. 日日有財 encodes the principle that prosperity is not an event — it is a daily condition. For the destined owner, income does not arrive in unpredictable surges followed by silence. It arrives with the steadiness of a current that does not break — each day carrying its measure of wealth, each day building upon the last.
交易大吉 extends this blessing into the specific moments where wealth is created: the transaction. Every negotiation, every closing, every contract, every exchange of value — whether a property deal, a policy signed, a client engagement, or a partnership formed — is placed under the highest celestial favour.
Four Quadrants Alignment: Direct Wealth Capacity
This talisman addresses the Direct Wealth Capacity quadrant — the ceiling on how much wealth the destined owner can generate through effort. By establishing daily rhythm and transaction-level auspiciousness, it ensures that effort-driven income does not spike and reset. It compounds.
On the 出生日, this talisman carries particular potency. Guan Yin’s birth energy — the force of compassion entering the world for the first time — infuses the blessing with the quality of beginning. New channels of daily wealth open. Transaction patterns that had been stagnant are reborn.
Talisman 2 — 觀音令·天兵護送五路進寶符

奉觀音佛祖 — Respectfully invoking Guan Yin. Same authority header.
令天兵 — Commanding the Heavenly Soldiers. The character 令 is a decree — a direct celestial command issued under Guan Yin’s authority. 天兵 are the celestial warriors who enforce divine mandates. When they are commanded, the instruction is carried out without obstruction.
五路財神 — The Five Directional Wealth Gods. Five deities governing the flow of wealth from East, South, West, North, and Centre. Led by Marshal Zhao Gongming (趙公明元帥). When the Five Wealth Gods move together, wealth converges from every direction simultaneously.
進寶 — Advance treasures forward. Wealth being escorted into the destined owner’s life under military authority.
The Blessing
Where the first talisman establishes the rhythm of daily wealth, this second talisman mobilises the celestial forces that actively deliver wealth to the destined owner from every direction.
The distinction is significant. The first talisman ensures that what the owner touches prospers. This talisman ensures that wealth finds the owner — whether or not they are actively seeking it. Opportunities that would have flowed elsewhere are redirected. Treasures that were destined for other hands are rerouted. Wealth does not wait to be earned. It is escorted forward by Heavenly Soldiers, under Guan Yin’s direct command, from all five directions at once.
The 令 — the decree — is the most authoritative form of celestial instruction. It is not a prayer. It is a command issued from the highest compassionate authority, binding the Heavenly Soldiers and the Five Wealth Gods to execute without delay.
Four Quadrants Alignment: Direct and Indirect Wealth Capacity
This talisman bridges both wealth quadrants. The Five Directional Wealth Gods deliver wealth through all channels — career income (Direct), investments, referrals, and partnerships (Indirect). The five directions ensure no channel is overlooked.
Talisman 3 — 觀音真言·陰陽雙運聚寶符

Reading the Inscription
觀音佛祖令 — By the decree of Guan Yin. The same commanding 令, preceding something extraordinary.
唵嘛呢叭咪吽 — Om Mani Padme Hum. Guan Yin’s own sacred mantra — the six-syllable invocation inseparable from the Bodhisattva herself. Grand Master David has inscribed the mantra directly onto the talisman. This talisman does not merely operate under Guan Yin’s authority. It carries her voice. Her sonic signature is written into the talisman’s energetic structure.
五路財神運財到 — The Five Directional Wealth Gods transport wealth to arrive. Actively delivering, ensuring arrival.
五鬼陰兵送寶來 — The Five Ghosts and Yin Soldiers deliver treasures here. This is 五鬼運財 — one of the most potent techniques in Chinese metaphysics. The Five Ghosts are powerful Yin spiritual entities that operate where Yang forces cannot reach: the hidden channels, the invisible currents, the wealth that exists in places no conventional effort can access.
The Blessing
Study the progression from Talisman 2 to Talisman 3. Talisman 2 commanded 天兵 (Heavenly Soldiers) and the 五路財神 — the Yang forces of the celestial realm. Talisman 3 commands the 五鬼陰兵 — the Yin forces of the spiritual realm. Together, they complete the circuit.
For the destined owner, this means wealth does not arrive from visible channels alone. The referral you did not ask for. The opportunity from a direction you were not watching. The investment that compounds beyond analysis. This is Yin wealth — delivered by the Five Ghosts under Guan Yin’s sacred mantra.
The 唵嘛呢叭咪吽 mantra ensures purity. Yin forces, when improperly invoked, can bring wealth carrying hidden cost. Under Guan Yin’s mantra, that risk is eliminated. The wealth arrives clean, aligned, and free from entanglement.
Four Quadrants Alignment: Indirect Wealth Capacity
This talisman addresses the Indirect Wealth Capacity quadrant with particular force. The Yin channels it activates — investments, windfalls, referrals from unexpected sources — are precisely the leverage-based wealth flows that the Indirect Wealth Capacity quadrant governs.
The Architecture of Talismans 1–3
The first three talismans now form a complete wealth architecture: daily rhythm (Talisman 1), Yang delivery from all five directions (Talisman 2), Yin delivery from the unseen realm (Talisman 3). Together, they ensure wealth reaches the destined owner through every possible channel — seen and unseen, above and below, Yang and Yin — all unified under Guan Yin’s compassionate decree and sealed by her own sacred mantra.
Talisman 4 — 觀音賜福·金童玉女萬事勝意符

金童玉女 — The Golden Boy and the Jade Maiden. These are Guan Yin’s personal attendants — celestial beings who serve the Bodhisattva directly and act as intermediaries between her compassionate will and the human realm. When Grand Master David inscribes their names on a talisman, he is invoking not merely Guan Yin’s blessing in the abstract, but the dispatch of her personal celestial court to serve the destined owner.
萬事勝意 — Ten thousand affairs, all triumphing as intended. This is one of the most comprehensive blessing phrases in Chinese metaphysics. 萬事 encompasses the totality of the destined owner’s undertakings. 勝意 means that intention prevails — that what the owner sets out to achieve, they achieve. Not by force, but by alignment.
The Blessing
Where the first three talismans address wealth specifically, this fourth talisman expands the blessing across the full spectrum of the destined owner’s life. Career decisions. Family harmony. Health. Negotiations. Timing. Relationships. Every domain — 萬事 — is placed under the service of Guan Yin’s own attendants.
The Golden Boy (金童) carries the Yang aspect of this service — active intervention, clearing obstacles, creating momentum. The Jade Maiden (玉女) carries the Yin aspect — nurturing, smoothing, resolving what cannot be resolved through force alone. Together, they provide complete celestial service: whatever the destined owner needs, one of the two attendants is equipped to deliver it.
Four Quadrants Alignment: Luck
This talisman addresses the Luck quadrant with breadth that the earlier talismans did not. Luck governs whether the environment cooperates with the owner’s effort. 萬事勝意 is the most complete expression of aligned Luck imaginable — not just in one domain, but in all things. The Golden Boy and Jade Maiden ensure this cooperation is sustained by celestial attendants personally dispatched by Guan Yin.
Talisman 5 — 觀音引貴·貴人春臨符

貴人 — Noble Person, Benefactor. In Chinese metaphysics, 貴人 is one of the most sought-after blessings. It refers to individuals who provide assistance, guidance, introductions, or opportunities — not because they are asked, but because celestial alignment places them in the destined owner’s path at the precise moment they are needed. A benefactor is not a contact. It is a celestial appointment.
春 — Spring. Renewal, vitality, the return of generative energy. The character does not merely reference a season. It invokes the force of beginning — the moment when dormancy breaks and new growth becomes possible.
The Blessing
This talisman invokes the arrival of benefactors into the destined owner’s life, carried on the energy of spring’s renewal.
The pairing of 貴人 and 春 is deliberate. Benefactors do not appear in stagnant conditions. They arrive when the energy around the destined owner is alive, moving, and receptive. 春 creates that condition — it renews the owner’s energetic field so that noble persons are drawn naturally into their orbit. The talisman does not merely request benefactors. It creates the conditions under which they cannot help but arrive.
On the 出生日, this talisman is especially resonant. Guan Yin’s birth — the supreme emergence — and the spring energy of renewal converge. Benefactors arriving under this double-emergence carry the energy of first meeting: relationships that feel instantly significant, introductions that immediately bear fruit, connections that carry the weight of celestial intention.
Four Quadrants Alignment: Luck
Benefactor arrival is the purest expression of the Luck quadrant. When the right person appears at the right moment without the owner seeking them, that is Luck operating at its highest function. This talisman ensures it operates consistently.
Talisman 6 — 觀音護身·保命延壽符

護身 — Protect the body. An active shield — not avoidance of harm, but the establishment of a protective field that prevents harm from reaching the destined owner.
保命 — Preserve life. 命 carries deep significance in Chinese metaphysics — it represents not merely biological life, but the vital essence that animates existence, the destiny-force that drives a person’s trajectory forward. To preserve 命 is to ensure that the destined owner’s life trajectory remains intact and uninterrupted.
The Blessing
This talisman establishes comprehensive protection for the destined owner’s physical body and vital essence. It shields against accidents, illness, misfortune, and the slow erosion of vitality that can undermine even the most aligned person.
The placement of this talisman in the sequence is deliberate. After wealth has been established (Talismans 1–3) and benefactors have been summoned (Talismans 4–5), protection ensures that what has been built is not lost to circumstance. There is no value in expanded wealth capacity if the person who holds it is physically compromised. This talisman guards the vessel itself.
Under Guan Yin’s compassionate authority, the protection is not aggressive. It does not confront threats. It redirects the destined owner’s path so that threats never materialise. The accident does not occur. The illness does not take hold. The danger passes without ever making contact.
Four Quadrants Alignment: Foundation
Physical health and protection underpin all four quadrants. Without a strong physical foundation, neither Luck, Intuition, Direct Wealth Capacity, nor Indirect Wealth Capacity can operate at full amplitude. This talisman protects the foundation upon which everything else is built.
Talisman 7 — 觀音消禁·官符消散靈到符

Reading the Inscription
官符 — Authority Seal. This character combination carries particular weight for matters involving institutional power: career advancement, dealings with authority figures, legal proceedings, organisational recognition, and governmental processes.
消散 — Disperse and vanish. A powerful cleansing command that removes obstacles, negative energies, and adversarial influences. What blocks the destined owner’s path is not merely weakened. It is dispersed — scattered so completely that it cannot reconstitute.
靈到此 — The spirits arrive here. A direct command demanding that protective celestial forces immediately manifest at the destined owner’s location. This is not a gentle request. It is an imperative backed by Guan Yin’s celestial authority.
The Blessing
This talisman serves a dual function: it clears the path of all institutional and competitive obstacles, and it dispatches protective celestial spirits to the destined owner’s immediate location.
For career professionals navigating promotions, organisational politics, or leadership transitions, 官符 provides the spiritual authority that aligns institutional decisions in their favour. For business owners dealing with regulatory processes, licensing, or governmental approvals, it ensures smooth passage.
消散 removes what stands in the way. 靈到此 ensures that protective forces are present to fill the space that the dispersed obstacles occupied — so that once the path is clear, it remains clear.
Four Quadrants Alignment: Luck
Obstacle removal is a Luck function. When the environment contains barriers that effort cannot overcome — institutional resistance, competitive sabotage, timing that persistently works against the owner — this talisman disperses the barriers and stations celestial protectors to prevent their return.
Talisman 8 — 觀音安神·安魂定魄平安符

Reading the Inscription
安魂 — Settle the ethereal soul. In Chinese metaphysical tradition, the 魂 represents the higher spiritual aspect of the self — the Yang soul associated with consciousness, aspiration, and direction. When the 魂 is unsettled, the destined owner experiences anxiety, indecision, restless thoughts, and an inability to commit to a clear path.
定魄 — Stabilise the corporeal spirit. The 魄 represents the Yin aspect of the spiritual self — associated with the physical body, emotional grounding, and the deep instinctive wisdom that governs health and vitality. When the 魄 is destabilised, the result is emotional turbulence, physical fatigue, sleep disturbance, and a disconnection from one’s own body.
平安 — Peace and safety. The simplest and most universal blessing — a state where disturbance is absent and the destined owner can operate from stillness rather than reactivity.
The Blessing
This talisman addresses the deepest level of the destined owner’s being: the soul and spirit themselves.
In a year defined by double-Fire energy and absent Water, the Bing Wu year creates conditions where the 魂 becomes agitated (overactive mind, impulsive decisions, inability to rest) and the 魄 becomes destabilised (emotional volatility, physical depletion, loss of grounding). This talisman directly counteracts both effects.
For the destined owner, it creates an inner foundation of stillness from which all external action becomes more precise. Decisions are made from clarity, not anxiety. Opportunities are evaluated from calm, not reactivity. The body rests properly, recovers properly, and sustains the vitality that all other quadrants depend upon.
Four Quadrants Alignment: Intuition
This talisman directly supports the Intuition quadrant. Clean judgment under pressure requires a settled soul and a stable spirit. When the 魂 is calm and the 魄 is grounded, the destined owner’s ability to read situations accurately — to know when to act and when to wait — operates at its highest precision. Intuition is not merely intelligence. It is intelligence operating from inner stillness.
Talisman 9 — 觀音神通·救苦救難圓滿符

神通廣大 — Divine powers, vast and boundless. This invokes the full range of Guan Yin’s supernatural abilities — her capacity to perceive suffering across all realms, to traverse any distance, to intervene in any circumstance, and to transform any condition. There is no limitation on what 神通廣大 encompasses. It is the Bodhisattva’s power without boundary.
救苦救難 — Rescue from suffering, rescue from calamity. This is Guan Yin’s most famous vow — the promise that she will respond to all who call upon her. 苦 represents suffering in its broadest sense: pain, loss, despair, the weight of circumstance that threatens to overwhelm. 難 represents calamity: sudden disaster, crisis, the moments when all other resources prove insufficient.
The Blessing
The ninth talisman is the culmination of the entire Guan Yin sequence. Where each previous talisman addresses a specific domain — wealth, benefactors, protection, authority, spiritual peace — this talisman encompasses everything. It invokes the totality of Guan Yin’s compassionate power, without limitation and without condition.
This is the talisman for the moments when specificity is not enough. When the challenge facing the destined owner cannot be neatly categorised into a single quadrant. When multiple forces converge against them simultaneously. When the situation demands not a precise intervention but an overwhelming one — the full weight of the Bodhisattva’s infinite compassion brought to bear on whatever stands between the destined owner and their alignment.
On the 出生日, this talisman carries the energy of Guan Yin’s first presence in the world. Her birth was not merely an arrival. It was the moment compassion itself became available to all beings. The ninth talisman channels that moment — the first breath of limitless compassion — and directs it toward the destined owner with the full force of Grand Master David’s consecration authority.
Four Quadrants Alignment: All Quadrants
神通廣大 does not align to a single quadrant. It encompasses all four. When Luck is blocked, it intervenes. When Direct Wealth Capacity is constrained, it expands. When Indirect Wealth Capacity stalls, it activates. When Intuition falters, it restores. This is the talisman of last resort and of first resort — the one that addresses whatever needs addressing, in whatever quadrant, at whatever scale the moment demands.
It is the most powerful talisman in the Guan Yin sequence. And it is always the last — because it seals everything that came before with the Bodhisattva’s boundless, unconditional compassionate power.

When the Talismans Burn
In Step 6 of the Grand Blessing Ritual, all eighteen talismans — nine for Guan Yin, nine for the Double Dragon — are burned. This is not destruction. It is transmission.
Fire transforms each talisman from a physical inscription into pure energy. The celestial characters Grand Master David inscribed — every invocation, every decree, every mantra — are carried upward by the flames, through the incense channel, through the Big Dipper constellation grid above the altar, and into the celestial realm.
The burning is the celestial receipt. It confirms that everything the talismans commanded has been witnessed, registered, and ratified above. The blessings that were directed into the treasures during the ritual are now permanently sealed — not by human authority alone, but by celestial acknowledgement.
When the flames subside, the talismans are gone. But what they carried — the wealth, the protection, the benefactors, the clarity, the infinite compassion — lives permanently within every treasure that passed through the consecration.
